Popcorn’s PlaylistPopcorn was born in the Pigs ‘n Paws sanctuary. She is half pig and half wild boar. She is very inquisitive and loves to come up to you and press her snout against your legs. She’s got a very long beautiful snout with the cutest ears.
When we first realised we were a pig rescue back in 2011 with only 50 pigs – and more on the horizon – we lived in a Conservancy. A wild boar discovered we had a delicious harem all for the taking and crashed through the electric fencing to get to them. All our males were sterilised, but most of our females were not due to the reluctance of vets at the time to perform the procedure. We finally managed to find a new place but only after he had given us 20/30 of the most gorgeous piglets.
We adopted out as many as we could, of course, but Popcorn stayed with us. She is half wild boar so although she is tame we are very careful with her. She sends out very mixed signals and a tummy rub could turn into a head swipe. She is a splendid, beautiful young lady and much loved.
